I love the personal touches in your writing, like going to Tesco in your old red crocs George, and the meaning your precious faithful table holds for you too, the changes in your life it has witnessed. I really hope things are beginning to change for you now, and all is going well with your bungalow purchase. ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•

Ah thank you Kate. Itโ€™s funny because I nearly took the red Crocs bit out ๐Ÿ˜‚ and that old table has followed me through so much of my life, I donโ€™t think I realised quite how much it meant to me until I started writing about it. Thank you for noticing the little things. I think perhaps they are where most of our lives actually happen ๐ŸŒน

Iโ€™m glad you left them in, I can even picture it in the loveliest way๐Ÿ˜Š From meeting families to prepare for funerals, I would also agree George, itโ€™s always those seemingly small things and moments that make people smile and are always remembered. ๐Ÿซถ

I think that is exactly it, Kate. I met so many people and saw them at some of the happiest and saddest moments of their lives. I didnโ€™t realise at the time quite how much I would remember all those tiny moments years later. I think that is probably why I write the way I do now! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŒน

Thank you for mentioning me, Georgina. โค๏ธ I also love your story about the table. It reminds me that, in the end, the things we own matter so much less than the love we share, the people we choose, and the memories we make around them.

For so long I kept waiting for things to end so I could finally move on. Even now, with my house sale dragging on, Iโ€™ve caught myself wishing my life away. But your story is proof that maybe the ending isnโ€™t the point. You endured. You survived. And now you live. Thatโ€™s the real reward.

Patrycja, it was your message that made me think about all of this in the first place โค๏ธ I think we are both guilty of waiting for the difficult thing to end before allowing ourselves to really live. And you are so right about the table. Itโ€™s not the table I love really, is it? Itโ€™s everything that has happened around it. Thank you again for making me see things a little differently today ๐ŸŒน
